Voice: Plant would take local water

The I.V. Press ran an editorial telling all of us how we can conserve water and how important that is to all of us. We have been told that we are using too much water and we have to cut back. There has even been talk of rationing water here in Imperial Valley.

Then the I.V. Press came out supporting the proposed plant that would bring 166 truck loads of L.A. sewage to our Valley every day. This plant will consume in excess of 600,000 gallons of water per day.

That is the No. 1 reason they want to put the plant in Imperial Valley. No one on the coast is going to give them that much water.

How can we talk water conservation one day and the next day talk about giving 600,000 gallons of water every day to Liberty Energy so that L.A. can dispose of their sewage in Imperial Valley?
