Toxic sludge plants are good for me…so they say.  I guess I can believe that if the money made it worth my while whereas my blatant disregard for human life was overshadowed by the possibility of wealth-the green type. But because I am truly more sensible than I am accredited as being since my sometimes humble nature makes me an easy target, the deception has me seeing red all around the county, particularly on ditch banks.  First, what everyone needs to understand is that when I bring home sludge, I actually bring home more than a semi-full of sludge. I have to bring in/out miles of pipes of gas, thousands of gallons of water, and humungous drums of chemicals.  I then need incineration technology that the Renewable Energy Lab doesn’t call a “powerplant.”  Once it’s all separated and cleaned, you then have to figure out what to do with the “waste” that the biosolids, biomass, and cow manure itself produced like char, tar, ash, water, and gas.  The truth is that no one in the State wants big city sewer waste burned in their front yard, so this last “ditch” effort is reserved for us-the Imperial Valley where goods can be sold “sight unseen.” They say, “build it and they will come.”  Heck they already have…the whole lot of those trash people saw the bullseye 10 years ago. The bullseyes are on every ditch bank in the Valley.  Red and white with an arrow pointing right to our hearts.  Sludge plants, “Crappy Jobs, Waste of Energy, Bad for the Valley”
